Choosing a listing is hard. Imagine how a traveler feels when they search through Airbnb’s millions of spaces around the world. We know how much care and attention you put into making your listing stand out—and we want to help.

We’ve been looking for new ways to highlight information that helps travelers choose a place to stay: pricing and availability. Our goal is to help drive more interest to your listing and, ultimately, help you get more bookings.

So far, these new tools have done just that! We’re slowly introducing them to more travelers, and now we want to let you know what to expect. Here are some of the messages we’re displaying in travelers’ search results to bring more visibility to your listing:

  • They can stay in a coveted space: If your listing is often booked on the days you make available on your calendar, but it’s available for the dates a traveler wants to stay, they’ll now see an alert like this: “This is a rare find. This host’s place is usually booked.” We want to highlight that if they want to stay with you, they should book soon.
  • They can get a long-term discount: If you offer a discounted nightly rate on stays longer than a week or a month, we’re displaying that more prominently in your listing. This information was always included—we’re just making it more visible. We want travelers to know they can save by staying in your space longer.
  • They can stay in an in-demand neighborhood: Similar to “rare find” but based on availability in your neighborhood, it also encourages travelers to book quickly. If someone’s looking for a place to stay in an area where there aren’t many listings available, they’ll now see an alert like this:  Only 15 homes left for these dates. Now’s a good time to book.”
  • They can still find a terrific listing: We don’t want travelers to miss out on a great listing like yours because they waited too long to book. Now, when someone searches for a place to stay and their travel dates are less than a week away, they see a message like this: “Your trip is coming up in 3 days. Look for the lightning bolt for faster booking.” This also draws attention to listings with Instant Book turned on.
