You don’t really know a city until you’ve lived there, sampled the local cuisine, and got lost enough times to know your way around. The London #LiveThere House, by Airbnb
If you happen to be in town between Thursday 16th – Sunday 19th of June, you can always ask your question in person, by visiting The London #LiveThere House. It’s open for four days, so you can pop by for a cup of tea, hang out with the locals or experience the best of London without having to brave the hustle and bustle of the tube. The doors will be open from 10.30am – 9pm at 7 Fournier Street, E1 6QE. Just ring the doorbell and make sure you don’t miss the chance to uncover the best-kept secrets the city has to offer.
Thursday June 16th
Thursday is the new Friday in London so we’re kicking off our little soiree in style. Indulge your sweet tooth by whipping up a cake with the Dinner Ladies who will be there to give you a taste of the city. If ale is more your thing, you can always relax with a beer, from Clapton Craft, in our lounge instead. Rhythm Section Founder, Bradley Zero, will be taking to the decks to play tracks from London’s record labels as well as sampling some new music from around the world.
Friday June 17th
On Friday we have another action-packed day planned, starting out on the terrace with Lizzie King, one of London’s most colourful artists, for a tie-dye workshop. Throw on your newly printed t-shirt (once it’s dry of course) and tuck into a treat from the lovely Rosie who can be found getting creative in the kitchen. Healthy food has never tasted so good.
After this you’ll have the chance to shake-up your evening with a cocktail making class courtesy of award-winning mixologist Andrew Shannon, where you will learn how to create a selection of seasonal cocktails based on characters that have roamed the streets of the area from Sir Nicholas Hawksmoor to Jack the Ripper.
Saturday June 18th
Saturday starts with the chance to burn off some of Friday’s delicacies with Nike+ Run Club Coach, Becs, who’ll be stopping by to lead a 5k run around Shoreditch before we open the doors for the day. Be sure to book onto a session, here.
Once back at the house, it’s all hands on deck for a social creative session with the girl behind London’s boldest print designs, Kelly Anna. With fans like Beyoncé and Foals you won’t want to miss the chance to get a personalised t-shirt of your own. After all that creativity, you’ll have worked up enough of a thirst to join our punch-making class, where our host Dominik Prosser will be sharing recipes created specifically for The London #LiveThere House with the area’s history at their core. Take your glass to the garden and watch the summer sun set in the west.
Sunday June 19th
Sunday means only one thing for Londoners – a Sunday roast, which is exactly what Marksman will be rustling up in the form of some classic British fare with all the trimmings. You’ll have plenty of time to savor his culinary delights before we start a photography lesson that’s designed to teach you tips and tricks on how to take that perfect Instagram shot.
There’s only one way to round off a proper London weekend, and that’s to the soundtrack of spoken word artist, James Massiah, who will settle up in the living room to give a reading of some of his finest poetry.
Whether you drop by for an hour, or come and hang out for the whole weekend; whether you come for the cake, the conversation or simply to discover more of what this great city has to offer, we’re looking forward to welcoming you to 7 Fournier Street, London, E1 6QA and helping you discover how to #LiveThere like a Londoner.
