Earlier this year, Airbnb CEO and Head of Community Brian Chesky committed to increasing the voice of our host community through more open dialogue. To support that pledge, we launched a Q&A series that invites hosts to submit questions that we answer directly.
On November 29th, we held our first global host Q&A and thousands of hosts from around the world tuned in to the livestream. In case you missed it, here’s a recap and the video.
Welcoming your voice
Prior to the event, hosts submitted their questions about hosting and the Airbnb platform, and voted on their favorites. Brian then answered the top-voted questions during the live event.
In just two weeks, hosts from around the world submitted a total of 11,579 questions and 77,876 votes. While we didn’t have time to answer all of your questions in this first Q&A (it would have taken 191 hours!), we started with the top 9 themes that received the most votes.
